Almost an entire month into 2011!

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated about my progress!

December was a great month mostly focused on school and finals but during my break from classes I traveled all over the mid-west looking for some pieces for my wardrobe and had some luck but didn't make any decisions since I had so much time until I have to be decided!

January has been a very busy and exciting month. I started off the new year dancing with the Ball State Code Red Dance Team during break before classes started up again. This is the first semester where all of my classes except for one are directly for my major, it's great!

My first week back in Muncie was huge for me! I sang the national anthem at a Ball State Women's Basketball game at the beginning of the week and finished the week singing the national anthem at a Ft. Wayne Komets hockey game! That was SO exciting! I was very worried about stepping out on the ice and slipping and all that but luckily I had nothing to worry about. It was great getting to be so close to the team too! My grandma came out for the game so we got to sit right on the glass... such a rush. I should inform you that I am an avid sports fan... by that I mean I get way into the games. So naturally, I was sitting against the glass screaming at both teams!  I was getting a picture with the team if they won and unfortunately they lost in a shoot out :(  I am still planning on getting that picture though!

There's the Komets warming up behind me!

My biggest fan, also known as Momal

This is how I had to meet the players instead of the locker room... I didn't mind too much though!

The next week I had a day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day which I spent in Ft. Wayne doing some orientation for my volunteer work at the Parkview North NICU! I went back Friday night for some more specific orientation then got to meet up with my wonderful OT Taylor on Saturday to work on our skills! That's the first time I've gotten to see Taylor since we were crowned, I was so glad to see her again!

Finally caught up! This week is quite possibly one of the busiest weeks I've had in a while but it will be very rewarding in the end.  I have CRD every day except for Friday, when I will be spending time with my wonderful director Jenee at a Three Rivers Festival fundraiser! I can't wait for the little break and some fun at the "Who's Bad?" concert!!

I am well on my way with prep and can't wait for Miss Indiana week to get here! It hasn't even been an entire month and I have already gotten to do so many amazing things, it's almost unbelieveable! Can't wait to update you after the concert on Friday!
